Stage 7 Brecon to Carmarthen

Grannies and their friends were welcome to join Beryl, especially on the circular walks.  Julia was delighted to collect any donations to the Granny Trek fund for Children's Hospice South West.

On Sunday Beryl enjoyed the company of son Terry walking the first of two days to Llandovery, where David Foot (01550 777623) had kindly arranged a circular walk  for Tuesday, 12th July.  This was  8 miles long, but in two parts, so those less energetic could drop out after the first part!

Many thanks to Tom Booth for his help with the route from Brecon to Llandovery and to David Foot for Llandovery to Carmarthen.

The Granny Trek then continued three days to Carmarthen, arriving on Friday, 15th July.  Beryl and Julia visited the Garden of Wales on that Friday and made a collection from generous visitors.

The motorhome was at Abermalais Caravan Park, Llangadog for 3 nights 10th, 11th and 12th July, moving on to stay with friends in Carmarthen on the 13th.

On Saturday, 16th July, David Bush (01267 230994)  led a circular walk.

The team say a heartfelt thank you to all our overnight hosts for their support.
