Granny Beryl, 65 in 2005, is never happier than when out walking in the countryside. She and husband Tony have backpacked thousands of miles, but Tony’s recent ill-health puts him in a support role for the Granny Trek.  Blessed with healthy children and grandchildren, Beryl's fervent wish is to support the children's hospice by motivating grannies everywhere to join her - get sponsored and get moving!
Chelston Motorhomes (of Wellington and Banbury) whose loan of a motorhome is saving thousands of pounds in accommodation and eating bills. This means that every penny donated to Granny Trek will go to Children’s Hospice South West.
Fritz and Rudi companions Fritz and Rudi are Finnish Lapphunds  8 year-old brothers.  The breed is a fairly recent introduction to the UK, their father having been imported from Finland in the mid-90s.  They are beautiful, gentle, intelligent and immensely strong, descended from a mix of hunting and herding dogs that for centuries helped the Sami people living in the Arctic Circle with the reindeer.
Julia Julia has spent much of her adult life overseas in Norway and Australia. She has actively engaged in boat and motor home building, though is also skilled in interior and garden design. A member of U3A, she organises rambles for the Bridgwater group. She will drive the motor home, as well as joining the circular walks.
