Hooray - passed £61,000!![]() It’s a shame to lose the lovely photo of Connie that’s been gracing my last journal entry, but it can’t be helped. Friends and supporters of Granny Trek will want to know that we have sailed passed the £61,000 – isn’t that fantastic? There are lots of talks booked for 2007, so judging by the generosity of past audiences we’re going to add considerably more to the total. On 27th January all those who have walked to support our cause are invited to visit Charlton Farm to see how it is progressing. The builders are about to hand over the keys and the winter months will be spent furnishing and recruiting staff, ready to welcome the first families in April 2007. Children’s Hospice SW invite all supporters and friends to tour the site. A coach has been arranged for 27th January to leave from Bridgwater at 9.00am, with lunch at The Hobbs Boat Inn, Lympsham, on the return journey. Fully inclusive cost of this trip will be £15 per person. This is primarily for the walkers, but seats may be available for our non-walking friends. A second coach trip for all friends and supporters will leave Woolavington Village Hall on Thursday, 15th February, at 9-15am. Anyone interested in these trips should ring me (01278 685698) or write to 35 Lower Road, Woolavington, Bridgwater, TA7 8EF. Payment for the above will be required at least one month in advance. Cheques payable to Granny Trek CHSW. Should anyone prefer to visit under their own steam, I’ve a supply of invitation cards through which you can book an appointment. A stamped addressed envelope would be helpful. |
