Fifth Annual Granny Trek 2010

What a day!  What people!  What weather!  Granny Trek passed its annual health check with flying colours!

After a long spell of settled sunny weather, the forecasters were again mentioning the rain word – as is their wont every year, it seems, but the sun wasn’t listening.  It was perfect walking weather and the ground had miraculously dried out underfoot, after the quagmire of the winter months.

Many people were there for the fifth year running, but there were also lots of new faces.  Bristol Severnside Rotarians had again worked hard to erect the tents and were in evidence both in the car parking and marshalling activities.  Louise and Jane looked tired but relieved that all their planning and labour had born fruit.

For me it was an extra special occasion, as we launched the Granny Trek book. Initial indications are that it will sell well, so order a copy now on the home page.
